Service Opportunities at Christ Community - current as of November 2009
- Nursery Workers - Serve on a Sunday morning rotation to help care for young children in our covenant community. Please contact Sally Mancini at 236-4857 or via email.
- Coffee Prep - set up coffee for our Sunday morning fellowship time (all supplies provided); sign up on the sheet on the coffee table.
- CD Production - duplicate sermon CDs for distribution inside and outside CCPC using mp3 files, labels and CDs provided by publicity team; contact Mike Woolworth via email.
- Worship Greeter/Usher - greet and seat worshippers, distribute bulletins, take attendance count, and collect tithes and offerings. Contact Dr. Gino Brino via email.
- Communion Set Up - arrive prior to the service to set up the communion table, then clean up after the service. Contact Cara Smith via email.
- Explorers Teacher - prep and teach the weekly lesson for our Explorers children during the worship service. Contact Rev. Jarrett Allebach via email.
- Financial Counseling Ministry - train to assist others with financial counseling and biblical stewardship using Crown Financial's materials. Contact Jim Hasson at 216-5724.
- Service Team - teens to adults are needed to engage in service under the leadership of the Deacons to help members in need with moving, home maintenance and other projects. Contact Steve Charpentier at 860.836.2899, or via email to serve.
Service Opportunities in Greater Hartford
- Hartford Rescue Mission - opportunities include preparing and serving the evening meal to guests (adults and children), cleaning up following the meal, and providing evening devotional. Contact Rev. Gregg Woods, Executive Director, at 860-241-0989, or visit HRM online.
- Birthright of Newington/New Britain - volunteer for this nonprofit crisis pregnancy center that offers women alternatives to abortion and practical assistance with their pregnancy. For more information, call 860-665-0234.
- CCPC Children's Bible Club in Hartford's North End - The Lord is blessing His ministry to the children of Hartford's North End through our Bible Club on Wednesdays where we average 20-25 children.
